Today I’d like to talk about mbazaliddemilcah.

Their family comes from an extended family rooted in the Buganda kingdom, located in central Uganda, East Africa. Their household experiences days filled with the exhaustion that comes from both the pursuit of livelihood and the completion of daily household chores. Traditionally, evenings were a time of storytelling ecstasy, where the family would gather to share African traditional folklore, a practice that has significantly dwindled with the advent of the digital age. Nowadays, evenings are more likely to be spent watching television or browsing the internet. Despite these changes, bedtime for the children often involves stories from the Bible and cherished tales from the past, recounted by grandparents around a kitchen fireplace, echoing the traditions of yesteryears. These stories not only serve as a bridge to their cultural heritage but also play a crucial role in instilling moral values. The person holds dear a particular story from their culture that emphasizes the grooming of young girls into strong and responsible women, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and its relevance to modern-day challenges. This story, they believe, holds universal value and could inspire families worldwide by showcasing the strength and resilience fostered within their community.

Why kids should go early to bed?

Ensuring that children adhere to an early bedtime routine can significantly benefit their health, development, and overall quality of life. Research shows that children who have early bedtimes experience a myriad of benefits, including enhanced academic performance, better attention and concentration, and improved emotional regulation. Specifically, the consolidation of learning that happens during sleep can improve cognitive functions such as problem-solving skills and memory retention, which are crucial for academic success. Furthermore, sufficient rest helps children to be more present and engaged during the day, leading to better performance in school and other activities.

An early bedtime not only supports a child's mental and emotional development but also contributes to their physical health. Adequate sleep is linked to a reduced risk of obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic disorders, as growth hormones are primarily secreted during deep sleep. This restorative period is crucial for physical growth and maintaining a healthy immune system. Additionally, establishing a routine of early bedtimes encourages healthy sleep habits that can last a lifetime, reducing the risk of developing sleep problems later in life. It's also worth noting that children who get enough sleep have better control over their emotions and impulses, leading to more harmonious family and social interactions.

Last week’s Big Question was a really important one. If you don’t remember it, here it is:

Would you like to receive 1 email per week with a PDF file with 5 stories?

🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Yes (13)

🟨🟨🟨⬜️⬜️⬜️ No (8)

There was not a big voting number, if I’m being honest, so I’m gonna leave it here once more. But the direction is obvious, isn’t it?

Please share your opinion about this and think about the consequences for you. Thank you.

That is all for today, friends. Thank you all for supporting me in this adventure.
